MODERN SHADE FOR A CLASSIC RANCH

This attached pergola brings a sharp modern edge to a white-brick ranch in Dallas. A powder-coated black steel frame supports a cedar rafter ceiling, stained a warm honey tone that complements the dark posts and beams. The flat, low-profile roofline mounted on roof risers tucks in under the home's eave so the structure reads as part of the house rather than an add-on. Integrated string lighting and a ceiling fan turn the patio into a usable evening space — exactly the kind of clean, minimal design our Modern style is built around.
