Like many DFW new builds, this home had a bare concrete pad and no cover. The owners wanted a seamless look, so we designed a gabled patio cover tied into the roofline with wrapped columns and a decorative open gable, matching paint and shingles so it reads as one structure. We added a dedicated circuit for a fan and lighting with switches inside, plus gutters and downspouts to divert runoff from the slab. The result: a usable outdoor room—cooler, brighter, dry in storms—and a backyard that finally stands out.
