The homeowners had a great pool but could only use the patio in summer and lacked a proper cooking area. We built an attached two-tier cedar pergola that runs the full patio and wraps the corner, topped with tinted polycarbonate to block UV and rain while keeping light. Custom rafters and black steel hardware give a Traditional look; the stain matches the brick. Beneath it sits a limestone outdoor kitchen with a granite top sized for their Big Green Egg. The result: a shaded, rain-ready pool deck they use from morning to evening and a backyard that finally works.
